Wow, I had an amazing experience at The Viper Room in Lincolnshire, IL tonight
Herb Alpert and his wife Brasil 66 vocalist Lani Hall put on a fantastic show.
It was so wonderful to see them blend their unique mix of straight ahead and smooth jazz. Herb played a medley of his hits that ended with “Rise”. I felt like I was back 8th grade sneaking to watch General Hospital…sorry just had a Luke and Laura flash back.

I was reading about your topic, “Herb Alpert and Lani Hall | Tammy McCann” at one of the similar blogs I retain in my reader. You happen to be more or less in complete agreement with them. It just isn’t what I imagined, but I’m beginning to see now that I am most likely absolutely wrong… intriguing..
Herb and Lani were so fantastic and very gracious. Herb believes as I do that art and culture are a necessity for humanity and that our children are better served with it in their schools and their lives. Check out his work for the Harlem School of the Arts.
