Half of my travels in Europe were as a leader of a Gospel group “Tammy McCann and the Voices of Glory.I shaped this tour and the susequent CD that followed “PRAISE” as a tribute to Mahalia Jackson. This gospel icon had a huge influence on me from a young age. As a small child growing up in the church up to a young women presenting her works in a “Tribute to Marian Anderson and Mahalia Jackson” produced by Geraldine de Hass & Jazz Unites, Inc .
I ‘m currently working on a musical retrospective/ lecture about her work and legacy for 2012. I will keep you posted.

After I heard you were playing in New York I immediately went to your website.
